Time spent at the Tanglewood Beach House can be as busy or as laid-back as you wish as there are plenty of things to see and do in the Parksville area. You can plan daily excursions or you can stick around, close to the beach. Your stay is made easier with the Guide to Life at the Tanglewood Beach House filled with contact information and suggestions to make your vacation as memorable as possible. Upon confirmation of your reservation, you’ll receive a copy of the Guide via e-mail to assist you in your travel planning. Here’s a sample:
There’s a lot to do and plenty of sites for day tripping:
- take in the world-renowned sandcastle competition at the Parksville Beach Festival
- drive to the Coombs Old Country Market and visit the goats on the roof
- or spend an afternoon at the outdoor Parksville Lions’ Adventureland Playground water park.
Or you can stick around and:
- picnic at the beach
- take a meandering stroll on the easy walking trails through Rathtrevor Provincial Park
- pamper yourself at the world class Grotto Spa at Tigh-Na-Mara
- take the kids to the Riptide Lagoon Adventure Golf up the road
- or wile away the day on the sandy, tidal flat beach.
Of Particular Note
NO PETS – For the comfort of all our guests, the Tanglewood Beach House is unable to accept pets. We have done our best to offer a low allergen environment with hardwood floors throughout and an exacting cleaning schedule. To ensure the House is pet hair and dander free, we have adopted a no pet policy
NO SMOKING – Smoking in the Beach House is a strictly prohibited and will trigger an alarm response by the Parksville Fire Department. If you do smoke in the neighbourhood, please be responsible and deposit your filter, complete extinguished, in the trash.
YES, TO CHILDREN – Special considerations have been made for children at the Beach House with plastic dinnerware, booster seat, step stool, inside games and beach toys provided.
